A Deer Park man faced court today on drugs charges following police raids early yesterday morning.
Clandestine Laboratory Squad detectives searched a house in Chester Crescent Deer Park about 7am as part of an operation which also raided properties in Thomastown, Noble Park and Maribyrnong.
The 47-year-old was charged with trafficking “a large commercial quantity” of methylamphetamine.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates Court this morning.
Heroin charges
Police have also charged two men from Sunshine North with drug offences yesterday following a separate investigation into the alleged importation of around four kilograms of heroin into Australia.
The 23-year-old Vietnamese national and 43-year-old Vietnamese born Australian were arrested by Melbourne Joint Organised Crime Taskforce detectives and charged with importation of a border controlled drug.
Both men will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
