Two Brimbank teenagers questioned over car thefts

Two Brimbank teenagers have been allegedly involved in car thefts over the past three days.

A 17-year-old Keilor Downs boy is being interviewed by police following the alleged theft of a silver Nissan sedan in Williams Landing yesterday morning around 4.30am.

The car was eventually stopped by police in Carlton around 1.20am this morning and four teenagers arrested.

The car was stolen following a home invasion in Davenport Drive, police believe.

Meanwhile a Taylors Hill boy has been charged with aggravated burglary following a car smash on the Westgate Bridge on Friday morning.

The 17-year-old was one of four teenagers charged after a stolen black BMW station wagon crashed into a pole near Todd Road around 2am, police say.

It’s believed up to nine teenagers were inside the car.

The BMW was allegedly stolen from Truganina between 12.30pm and 1.30pm last Thursday.
