Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which occurred after two cars were allegedly drag racing in Sunshine on Monday.
Police have been told that two vehicles were seen racing inbound on the Western Ring Road, just south of Ballarat Road, prior to the collision about 5pm.
It appears one of the cars, a white Mercedes, lost control before the other vehicle, a white Audi, collided into another vehicle.
The driver of the Mercedes ran from the scene and jumped into another vehicle before returning to the scene.
The drivers of the two cars which were allegedly drag racing, were arrested by police.
The two men, both 19-year-olds, have been interviewed in regards to driving in a dangerous manner, reckless conduct endangering life and other driving offences.
It was also reported that the drivers were filming on their phones at the time.
