Brimbank detectives are investigating a robbery which took place on a bus in St Albans last month.

The victim was travelling on the 418 bus route on November 23 when he was approached by four men who boarded the bus at Alfrieda Street, St Albans about 3.20pm.

The offenders demanded money from the victim and searched his backpack, stealing an iphone from the bag and a watch from his wrist.

Shortly after, the victim got off the bus and was walking towards the St Albans library when the same group of offenders surrounded him and escorted him to an unknown street away from the main road and assaulted him.

Demands were made of the victim to produce a sum of money the following day with threats made if he didn’t comply.

The victim received minor injuries.

One offender has been identified.

Police are appealing for anyone with information as to the identity of the other men to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
