Police investigate Burnside Heights robbery

Police are calling for assistance following an attempted armed robbery at a Burnside Heights café earlier this month.

Security footage shows two men arriving at the Tenterfield Road cafe in a stolen Nissan Maxima sedan just after 6pm on March 3.

One of the occupants, dressed in black with his face covered, used a hammer to smash the glass front door but was unable to enter the building.

Investigators believe that the pair were also involved in a home invasion and an armed robbery in Kings Park the previous night during which the

Nissan Maxima and a Holden Commodore, were stolen.

Police said the stolen Commodore was used in an armed robbery at a local hotel.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of the incident which they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
