Police callout following Keilor Park assault

Police are appealing for information following the “serious” assault of a man in Keilor Park last month.

Police said a 49-year-old Keilor man who was rendered unconscious and required facial reconstructive surgery following the assault.

The incident occurred at a restaurant in Keilor Park just after midnight on Friday, July 8.

Police said two men were exiting the building when one returned to the victim and struck him in the face.

CCTV footage has been released to help identify a man police believe might be able to assist in the matter.

Police said the man appears to be Caucasian in appearance with light brown hair and a beard and at the time of the incident was wearing a white hooded-top and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact police.
