Police seek information about Braybrook assault

Detectives are appealing for help to identify two men behind a vicious assault outside a Braybrook house in January.

Detective Senior Constable Owen Matthews described the assault of three friends on January 15 as a “violent attack”.

The three victims were sitting outside a house in Darley Street about 10.50pm when two men carrying makeshift weapons ran towards them.

The offenders assaulted the man and two women, aged from their late 20s to early 50s, before fleeing south on foot.

White car

Detective Senior Constable Matthews said the attackers then drove away in a white car.

“They broke the man’s jaw with a wooden object,” he said. “The other offender looked like he was carrying a hammer.”

Closed circuit footage shows the two men charging at their victims.

The offenders are described as Caucasian and aged in their mid-to-late 20s.

One wore a black hoodie and pants, with a black bandana across his face. The other wore a black cap, grey long-sleeved top and black tracksuit pants.

Report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
