Police call for witnesses following hit-run

A 50-year-old St Albans man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a hit-run collision in Albanvale yesterday.

Police have been told the man was crossing Oakwood Road at Kardinia Drive about 9.30pm when he was hit by a black Nissan Skyline travelling north on Oakwood Road.

Witnesses have told police the Nissan stopped for a moment before driving off and heading onto Cromwell Road.

Police believe that the Nissan may have sustained damage to the front left of the vehicle and passenger side mirror.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the Nissan prior to, after or during the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
