Anti-social behaviour and crime will be targeted as part of a police blitz at Watergardens train station this week.

Uniformed and plain clothed officers will be out in force at the train station and surrounding area, including Watergardens Town Centre’s car park, as part of the police operation that will run throughout the last week of the school holidays.

Brimbank Inspector Dallas Normington said the operation was aimed at driving down theft, traffic and public order offences.

“Anyone coming to the area intending to cause trouble can expect to be greeted by a significant police presence.

“For most people, the school holidays are a time to relax and unwind but our police members will be hard at work disrupting any anti-social behaviour or crime in the area,” he said.

Brimbank detectives from the crime investigation unit will join officers from the safer communities tasking unit, the highway patrol and transit police for the blitz.
