Sunbury line commuters experienced service improvements last month.
Public Transport Victoria figures released last week showed a one per cent improvement in service delivery throughout August on the Sunbury line, with 99.4 per cent of services delivered.
The news was even better in peak times, with 99 per cent of services delivered, up from 97.7 per cent in July.
The Sunbury line had 10 new peak weekday services introduced late in August.
Metro spokesperson Marcus Williams said it was pleasing to see the new services having an impact on performance.
“Our dedicated teams work hard around the clock to provide the best possible service for our passengers every day,” Mr Williams said.
“We’re pleased to see a lift in performance on the Sunbury line in August and further improvement across the network this month.
“Ten extra peak services have recently been added to the Sunbury line each week, ensuring our passengers get services when they need them most.”
The Sunbury line was also more punctual throughout August, with 87 per cent of peak hour trains 89.6 per cent of all services arriving on time.
