Parking restriction as Watergardens works begin

Works on Watergardens’ $50 million transformation have begun.

Centre manager Joe Galea said works are progressing well, although there are some restrictions on parking.

“The delivery of The Marketplace is occurring alongside improvements to the eastern section of the centre’s carpark adjacent to The Marketplace development,” Mr Galea said.

“These carpark works are designed to enhance customer convenience by flattening the carpark’s slope, among other amenity improvements, and while final timings are still to be confirmed, we anticipate they will conclude by the 2019 September school holidays.”

Mr Galea said while disruptions are unavoidable, plans have been put in place to keep them to a minimum.

“We are delivering the evolution of Watergardens in a responsible manner, and as part of our robust preparation process and in conjunction with traffic management and wayfinding specialists, we have developed a range of management plans designed to minimise the impact of these works on our community,” he said.

“We are committed to keeping our community informed as works progress, and we encourage community groups that are interested in what this next stage of evolution means for Watergardens, to reach out to us at centre management on 9361 5511.”
