Overnewton fun runs raise serious cash

Overnewton Anglican Community College has raised an impressive $20,000 for charity on the back of two successful fun runs.

The runs, held at the school’s Keilor campus in May and Taylors Lakes in June, aided its chosen charities with $13,570 going to help the Anglican Board of Mission’s efforts in Nepal and $6480 to the Royal Children’s Hospital. College co-captain

Sarah White (pictured) said the middle and junior school’s student executive, which organised the events, was amazed by the generosity of the Overnewton community.

“I can’t thank the college community enough for getting on board with this idea,” she said.
