A new supermarket is about to open its doors in Derrimut, giving shoppers more choice.

The new NQR store is part of the expansion of Derrimut Village, with works well under way on getting the store ready to be opened.

The Salvation Army and Variety and Ezy Buys will also be part of the shopping centre expansion.

NQR’s John Tran said they were just awaiting the final approvals to get the go ahead to open, but was hoping it would be within the next couple of weeks.

“We have looked to open up in Derrimut as we would like to reconnect [with] western Melbourne as our Sunshine store has shut due to leasing reasons,” he said.

“The customers can expect to save up to 80 per cent off their favourite big brands like Arnott’s, Cadbury, Coca-Cola, DON, Flora, McCain, Birds Eye, L’oreal, Tresemme and Morning Fresh.

“We will be having our own exclusive promotions for even bigger savings for the opening.”
