Braybrook residents have more open space to enjoy, with the opening of the Orion Western Reserve.
Part of the Stockland Orion estate, the opening of the reserve was the first public event at the estate since the pandemic restrictions eased.
The reserve, which adjoins Matthews Hill Reserve, includes a playground, undercover barbecue areas and footpaths leading to the wetlands at the northern end of the open space.
Stockland national general manager of development communities – built form, Ben Cantwell, said it was exciting to see more than 60 people enjoy themselves at the new reserve on opening day.
“We’re committed to providing green spaces at our communities and have invested $1.25 million in the reserve and pocket parks to support community health and wellbeing at Orion,” he said.
“It’s great to celebrate the completion of Orion Western Reserve just in time for the holidays so people can enjoy the space for picnics, barbecues, play and connect with nature.”
