Construction on a new serviced apartment hotel at Watergardens is set to get under way.
The Quest project, is part of the next stage of mixed-use evolution at the shopping centre, and will be built on Kings Road directly adjacent to Watergardens’ foodie haven The Marketplace.
Construction is set to commence this month.
Watergardens centre manager Trish Gardiner said the team was pleased to be able to commence works, after COVID-19 delays put the project on hold last year.
“We see the delivery of Quest Watergardens as an important stage in our evolution at the centre, introducing a new dimension to our mixed-use town centre offer,” Ms Gardiner said.
“As a community partner with a longstanding investment in the region, this new collection of serviced apartments will provide a new modern hotel offer for visiting families and business travellers.
“Located directly adjacent to Watergardens, Quest will offer visitors to Melbourne’s north- west a convenient and comfortable respite with self-contained living features and convenient access to the range of fantastic dining, entertainment and retail experiences on offer at the centre.
“Guests staying at Quest Watergardens will also be able to take advantage of our dynamic food and beverage offer at The Marketplace, alongside vibrant dining and entertainment options in our newly refurbished Station Street.”
Quest Watergardens will contain 86 serviced apartments across five levels, including studio, one and two-bedroom apartments.
