New grants for youth projects

Brimbank youth groups have a month to apply for new council grants announced yesterday (Monday) worth up to $5,000.

The 2022 Brimbank Community Fund (BCF) grants program focuses on youth well-being and mental health. This included projects that do the following:

• Improve the education, employment and well-being of Brimbank’s youth;

• Improve, support and promote mental health for all ages; and

• Support and encourage youth to socially engage in the community.

The BCF offers funding grants of up to $5,000 per project. Groups seeking smaller amounts are also encouraged to apply.

Applications close on Thursday 22 September, at 5pm. For details or to apply visit brimbankcommunityfund.org/pages/grants.

The fund is guided by an independent committee of voluntary local leaders supported by the Brimbank Council and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.
