MY BRIMBANK

What’s your connection to Brimbank?

I was born here and have been living in the area since. I’m currently living in Cairnlea.

What do you like best about the area?

The parks, people and multiculturalism. Brimbank is so diverse and it is constantly improving.

What could make the area better?

In my opinion, Brimbank is already improving and growing, so not much really.

Where do you like to go for a feed in the area?

There are so many great small restaurants and fast food places in Brimbank like Grill’d, Nandos, Roxy Kebab and Switch. I also love to eat a different variety of food like Indian, Thai and Italian.

When did you start volunteering at Sunshine Hospital, and what does your volunteer work involve?

I started volunteering at Sunshine Hospital in 2015-16. I previously did social support but currently I collect feedback from patients about their experience at the hospital.

What keeps you involved? Do you have a highlight of your time there?

I enjoy giving back to the community and being an active member here. I love to meet new people, and along with the feedback I get to hear from patients, help make the hospital a better place.

What would you say to anyone interested in volunteering at the hospital?

The hospital is a great place to volunteer at and has been and continues to be one of the most enjoyable parts of my day. It allows you to connect with other people and give back to the community.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I want to visit the seven wonders of the world.
