Motorcyclist dies in St Albans crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in St Albans this morning.

It is believed the driver, who is yet to be identified, was travelling north on Walmer Avenue when he struck a parked car about 11.10am.

Emergency services attended however the man died at the scene.

It is not currently known whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash, however police believe there were other vehicles in the area and the incident may have been witnessed.

Police are investigating the incident and have urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The incident brings this year’s road toll to 38, three more than the same time last year.
