Taylors Lakes, Hillside and Keilor road users are advised to be aware of speed reductions and planned lane closures along Melton Highway for the remainder of the year.
A $5.6 joint investment from the Transport Accident Commission and Victorian Government’s is delivering safety upgrades across 80 kilometre per hour roads in outer Melbourne, including along Melton Highway.
Crews will be installing additional safety barriers to fill in gaps on Melton Highway, complementing works carried out in 2019 along Melton Highway between The Regency in Hillside and Calder Freeway in Keilor.
Works will take place between The Regency and Calder Park Drive, between Aran Court and Stratheden Court, between Sydenham Road and Parmelia Drive and east of Sunshine Avenue.
VicRoads is anticipating works will be completed by the end of December 2022.
Crews will be onsite on weekdays between 7am and 6pm.
During works, drivers will experience a reduced speed of 40 kilometres per hour through the work site during construction hours or single lane closures on Melton Highway in both directions during construction hours.
Access to properties from Melton Highway will be kept open at all times.
Residents may experience minor levels of dust and noise around the work areas during construction hours.
