A 31-year-old Cairnlea man has handed himself in to police following an alleged fatal hit-run in Ardeer last night.
Police believe the unidentified female victim, believed to be in her 20s or 30s, was struck by a black Holden Commodore VT on Ballarat Road. Her body was discovered about 7.40pm.
A 31-year-old man is in custody assisting police with their inquiries.
