Man charged following fatal St Albans stabbing

A man has been charged following a fatal stabbing in St Albans last week.

Police have charged a 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, with murder, intentionally causing injury and bail offences. He is expected to appear in court this week.

The charges follow an incident on December 30, where a man was found injured in the vicinity of St Albans Road, between Princess and Percy Streets, about 10.50pm.

It’s alleged the 32-year-old St Albans man was stabbed following an altercation with several males. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Investigators are not looking for any other persons in relation to this incident.
