A 40-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury and various other assault related offences.

The charges follow a number of incidents on two days including the alleged assault of two men on Friday, December 29, at a reserve in Kealba about 7.10am. The men, aged 50 and 71, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A second alleged assault involved two women and a man who were walking along the footpath on Taylors Road, near Sunshine Avenue, on Saturday, December 30, about 1.20pm. The trio were also taken to hospital for treatment.
