Man accidently hands himself in to police

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a burglary in Sunshine West at the weekend.

The 53-year-old Coburg man attended Sunshine Police Station yesterday evening to hand himself in after allegedly failing to attend court.

When police took reports of an alleged burglary on Ridgeway Parade on Sunday, December 4, police immediately recognised the man from high quality CCTV.

Detectives arrested him at the scene, and he’s been charged with burglary, committing an indictable offense whilst on bail and failure to answer bail. He appeared at Sunshine Magistrates Court on the morning of Wednesday, December 7.
