Drivers are being warned to allow 75 minutes extra travel time with major closures slated for the M80 Ring Road this month.
The road will be closed in the Greensborough-bound direction between the Calder Freeway and Sunshine Avenue from 9pm tonight to 5am Monday, January 15.
A second closure will be in place in the Altona-bound direction between Sunshine Avenue and the Calder Freeway from 9pm on Friday, January 19 to 5am Monday, January 22.
VicRoads says the closures are part of essential work on EJ Whitten bridge.
Signed detours will be in place to divert traffic via Sunshine Avenue, Green Gully Road and the Calder Freeway.
