The corridor at Ardeer Primary School became a makeshift dining room when lunch was shared on Friday by pupils, parents and teachers.
The lunch was enjoyed as part of National Families Week, held between May 15 and 21 each year to celebrate families.
Principal Graham Miller said the school used the event to raise money for Cancer Council fundraising initiative Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
“We did it last year and raised $100, so hopefully we can beat that this time around,” he said.
Each family was asked to bring a plate of food to share at the lunch.
The official date for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is this Thursday.
All money raised through the event goes to the Cancer Council’s programs for prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
