Brimbank libraries has announced St Albans, Sydenham and Sunshine libraries will be open for extended hours on Friday 9 January.
The libraries will be open until 6pm.
Brimbank libraries said the extended hours would allow locals a cool and comfortable space to rest during the heat wave.
