A Braybrook man is thanking a last-minute change to his regular lottery numbers for scoring him a TattsLotto prize worth more than $902,000 in a recent draw.

The happy man held one of the six division one winning entries for the August 17 draw.

Each winning entry took home a division prize of $847,199.23.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled player’s marked System 12 entry also scored him division three 36 times and division four 225 times, bolstering his total win to $902,047.

The overjoyed winner recounted how he discovered the life-changing news while watching the footy.

“It’s very good news! I finally won it,” he said

“Me and my wife checked my ticket on Saturday night. We were just watching the footy and we looked up the winning numbers on the results section of the website.

“We were looking at each of the coloured circles and comparing them with our numbers, and each time we got one, we kept saying ‘No way, No way.”

“We stopped at the fourth number and I said to my wife ‘imagine if we got all of them’, and so we kept checking and we had all six. It was fantastic.”

“We had a lovely night after that. We celebrated with our kids.”

The regular player revealed that a last-minute number change resulted in his winning entry.

“I play every week, and I’ve been playing these numbers for a while,” he explained.

“I usually have the number one in there, which is a family member’s birthday, but I swapped it instead for number 16.

“That’s the number that came out first!

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the thrilled winner said it would go straight to paying off his home loan.

“It’s already been spent! It will all go straight to paying off the mortgage.”
