Roof leaks led to Keilor’s $6.5 million basketball-netball stadium being flooded on Thursday afternoon.
A resident told the Star Weekly the stadium, which was recently reopened to the public, was swamped with water after the heavy downpour.
Brimbank council’s acting director of community wellbeing Kath Brackett confirmed there had been minor flooding caused by roof leaks.
“There was also a partial collapse of the plaster ceiling in the changerooms of the unrenovated section of the building,” she said. “Council is investigating the source of the leaks in order ensure they are resolved.”
