A Keilor Downs man was charged with firearms and drugs offences last week.
The 38 year-old-man was at a hotel car park in Carrum Downs on Wednesday, August 10 when he was intercepted by police at 4pm.
Police allegedly located a number of items in his car.
Among the charges laid were prohibited possession of a firearm, possessing ammunition without a licence, possessing a prohibited weapon without an exemption, possessing a controlled weapon without lawful excuse, possessing a dangerous article without lawful excuse, possessing methylamphetamine, possessing methylamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possessing MDMA, dealing property suspected of being proceeds of crime, committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
The man was remanded in custody and will appear in court next month.
