Hillside local John St. Peeters is bringing what might just be the biggest ever Australian Elvis show to Melbourne.

The sold out show will take place at Hammer Hall and The Australian Book Of Records will be there to confirm the potentially record setting attendance.

“How good is it that two Aussies, Baz Luhrmann and myself are the two people who will hold the biggest things for Elvis’ big comeback,” said Mr St. Peeters, referencing the 2022 blockbuster production on Elvis’ life.

The show will see over 100 musicians perform to an audience of 2,500 “it’s just gonna be really incredible for me to be on that stage with over 100 other people, Mark Andrew as Elvis and me on stage conducting and playing the piano,” said Mr St. Peeters.

“I’m just really excited, I put a lot of work behind the show and there are a lot of surprises, it’s definitely a show that no one has ever seen”

“It’s become much bigger than I thought, I didn’t think it would grow to this size,” said Mr St. Peeters.

“To work on putting these things together like we do and the construction of this incredible band, the production is just massive.”

The vision stemmed from a connection Mr St. Peeters had with “The King” himself back in 1975 when he was given a personalised photo from Elvis that read “To my competition, heard you were good – Elvis.”

Elvis’ team asked to record and collaborate with Mr St. Peeters following a show in Kuala Lumpur and when the wheels were in motion Elvis of course tragically died just two years later.

“This show will be my thank you to the king,” said Mr St. Peeters.
