The Jaguars Melbourne futsal club was given a chance to flaunt its talent and showcase its home suburb of Caroline Springs at the Victorian championships last week.
While missing out on a title – Jaguars’ under-12 boys team finished runners-up – club chairman Jack Dugongic said he was proud of the side.
“This is the biggest thing on the futsal calendar in our state,” Mr Dugongic said.
“It’s great for our kids to have something in their backyard – usually we have to travel to Canberra or Sydney. This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the club, the facilities – we’re pretty proud of Caroline Springs.”
The championships were held at the Caroline Springs Leisure Centre.
