St. Luke’s Anglican Church is set to usher in the festive season this Sunday, with ’Carols on the Green’, a free community event designed for the young and young at heart.

Carols on the Green will take place on Sunday, December 3, from 5-8pm, with the event promising an enchanting evening at St. Luke’s Anglican Church located at 1-3 Eagle Terrace, Taylors Lakes.

The community is invited to bring their own picnic baskets, blankets, and chairs, to create a cosy atmosphere under the open sky.

Warden Denise said the night is set to be jam-packed with fun for everyone, including a magician and balloon twister, local band Horizon performing loved Christmas songs, a sausage sizzle cooked up the Taylors Lakes Lions Club as well as community carolling from 7pm.

“There is something for everyone to enjoy, and it has all been self-funded by the church. It is our gift to the community,” she said.

Reverend Carmel said the event is an opportunity to bring the community together.

“We provide the community with emergency food each week through Anglicare so this is another way of reaching a different section of the community and bringing them together,” she said.
