Property raids
Detectives executed a number of warrants in Deer Park last week as part of an investigation into the theft and rebirthing of vehicles. Warrants were executed at three private properties on Robinsons Road. Police seized two stolen motorbikes and a vehicle. A 37-year-old man from Point Cook is assisting police with their inquiries.
Fatal crash
A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Calder Park last week. Police believe the car was travelling inbound along the Calder Freeway when it veered off the road and rolled about 1.20am last Wednesday. The driver died at the scene.
Charity grants
Local charities working with young people in Brimbank are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5000 through the Brimbank Community Fund grants program. This year there is $14,000 of funds to disperse via the grant round. Established in 2009, the fund has distributed $45,000 to local charities over the past four years.
