Brimbank local Dao Tran said she was still in “disbelief” following her win on Millionaire Hot Seat.
Ms Tran said her $50,000 win was a shock, adding she didn’t expect to go far on the Channel Nine game show.
“Honestly thought I would get my first question wrong,” she said.
Ms Tran said the win opened up enormous possibilities for her, including spoiling her single mother.
“I kinda wanna spoil my single mum a bit. Buy her a car, she’s never really had like a newish car,” she said.
Ms Tran said the prize money would help fund her wedding later in the year.
“Most of it will go towards the wedding,” she said.
When asked how she prepared to compete on Millionaire Hot Seat, Ms Tran said she practiced on trivia apps on her phone, but said the actual questions on the show were harder.
“[I was] doing a bit of reading. Found this Hot Seat app, which I was kinda practicing on, so I just practiced on the app.”
