A Brimbank council school holiday program is going green this July.

Going Green 2021 which will be held in the second week of the school holidays for school-age children, gives young minds the chance to be part of an arts festival.

The council confirmed the program would still go ahead despite COVID-19 restrictions.

The program is being run in partnership with Environmental Film Festival Australia (EFFA) and Snuff Puppets.

The festival is dedicated to celebrating nature, creatively educating children about conservation and preserving the environment through art.

The activities includes toddler Tuesday for some of the youngest students to hand decorate plant pots, a song writing workshop and earring making workshop, live music performances, movies, a learn to art workshop, talks and a visit by the Snuff Puppets.

The festival, which is free, runs between July 6 and 10 at the St Albans Community Centre and Bowery Theatre.
