Brimbank council is encouraging residents to have their say on a new draft of its 10 Year Asset Plan.
The draft plan is the result of community consultation and other discussions as part of the Brimbank Community Vision 2040 plan.
The aim of the plan is to shape the council’s goals to maintain, renew, expand or upgrade public assets such as roads, parks, footpaths, buildings, drainage and trees.
Brimbank council mayor Jasmine Nguyen said the plan will help to keep public assets maintained, safe and pleasing into the future.
“This is part of our commitment to creating better spaces and maintaining them too,” she said.
Comments on the draft plan will close on Tuesday, May 24.
Cr Nguyen said the council is seeking input to add to earlier engagement with a community panel.
“We encourage you to read the draft plan and share your feedback with council,” she said.
“We want to continue to provide great public spaces for our community to enjoy and be proud of.
“Brimbank is a large municipality with lots of public assets, so we want to focus on what’s most important to you.”
Brimbank council oversees the management of $2.5 million of assets.
