Brimbank council is seeking feedback on what the community would like included in the 2023-24 council budget.

The council wants to hear from community members about what council services and projects are important to them, which will help the council prioritise funding in the next annual budget.

Each year the annual budget helps deliver important services to the community. This includes looking after local roads and drainage, waste collection and disposal and recycling. Council also provides community services such as home and community care, recreation and cultural activities, library services and health and wellbeing programs.

Community members will be able to have a say by ranking the following key council priority areas, wellbeing and belonging, pride and participation, liveable and connected, sustainable and green, growing and transforming and earning and learning.

Brimbank Mayor Jasmine Nguyen said the council welcomes community input on the budget priorities to help us create a Brimbank everyone can be proud of.

“This is an opportunity to ensure that what matters to our community is being considered when drafting the 2023-2024 budget,” she aid.

“I encourage everyone to share their feedback and help us stay focused on achieving the best outcomes for our growing community.”

Feedback can be provided online at yoursay.brimbank.vic.gov.au/budget23 or through our postage-paid postcards (available at council centres), or drop in at any community sessions held around Brimbank.

Consultation closes October 10.
