Brimbank residents have until the end of this week to have their say on shaping the future of Brimbank.

The 2021-25 draft council plan is currently being developed, with the council seeking community feedback as part of the process.

The draft plan centres around four strategic directions – places and spaces, opportunity and prosperity, people and community and leadership and governance.

The council is also seeking community feedback on the existing long-term 20 year community vision and the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Following the consultation, the council will develop a draft council plan for 2021-2025 and related documents that will be considered by the council later this year for adoption and implementation.

Brimbank mayor Cr Ranka Rasic said as a new council, the plan would be the playbook for the next four years.

“This is an opportunity for community members to tell us their expectations and hopes so that we can develop a four year plan that is realistic, targeted and measurable.

“Shaping Brimbank is about working together to deliver policies and programs that make life better and create connected, safe, healthy and well communities, places and environments.”

Community consultation closes on May 16.
