The crew at Fury & Son Brewing is hopping into a celebration of Cypriot heritage and a deep love of halloumi cheese.

The Keilor Park brewery will host All Praise the Halloumi as part of Good Beer Week in which the team will brew up three different beers to match three different halloumi dressings.

Fury & Son managing director Andrew Georgiou said there was much excitement about the event.

“This will be one of the first times we’ve really been able to showcase our heritage,” he said.

“It’s incredibly exciting and we’ve got some great flavours in store.”

Mr Georgiou said lots of planning had gone into the creations.

“We went through a pretty solid ideas process, which really focused on the dressings,” he said.

“We really want to take people on a journey which starts savory and ends with something sweet – but I’m going to keep the flavours close to my chest for now.

“We’re expecting a crowd of around 60 people which would be a pretty solid turnout.”

In addition to the halloumi, live music and an array of Cypriot food will be on offer.

All Praise the Halloumi will be held this Saturday, May 11, from 2-6pm
