Sunshine fitness fanatics can now workout at all hours.
The health club at the Sunshine Leisure Centre is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Brimbank mayor Lucinda Congreve said the move caters for the entire community.
“This is all about making it easier for people to get active,” she said.
“We don’t all work nine-to-five and we can’t all fit our exercise in during regular business hours – nor should we have to.
“By opening the health club making virtual fitness classes available at Sunshine Leisure Centre to members 24/7 we’re making it easier to fit in a workout whenever it suits them.”
A members-only after-hours entrance is now available to members who have requested after-hours access and completed the necessary orientation.
Added security measures, including duress buttons and personal duress lanyards will be in place for those using the health club outside of staffed hours.
However there will be no access to the leisure centre foyer, pool hall and downstairs changerooms outside of staffed hours.
The centre has been undergoing a range of improvements in recent times.
A new café has been introduced at reception, alongside new flooring in the foyer, more seating and a dedicated merchandise area.
