Community members will be given a chance to provide feedback on the proposed design for the upgrade to Green Gully Reserve.
A public session will be held near the barbecue area of Green Gully Reserve this Saturday from 11am-1pm.
Brimbank mayor Margaret Giudice said it was a good opportunity for the council to gauge community sentiment.
“Council is committed to creating high-quality parks and playgrounds that will cater for our growing community,” Cr Giudice said.
“This is an opportunity for people who use this park to provide feedback on the draft concept plans.
“As a community first council, we value community input and provide genuine opportunities for people to have their say.”
The proposed upgrades to the park include a tower with five slides, a swing set, balancing and climbing posts, nature play areas, picnic setting and seats refurbishment, native bird sculptures, the planting of canopy trees and low-cover garden bed shrubs and flowers.
New public toilets are also planned.
The planned upgrades are part of the council’s award-winning Creating Better Parks policy.
