Three Brimbank kindergartens will have improved resources thanks to their share of almost $70,000 in state government funding.
The grants are aimed at giving the kindergartens greater flexibility to provide more one-on-one time for every child, improving their preparation for school.
Albion kindergarten ($22,700), Sunshine North kindergarten ($23,925) and South Sunshine kindergarten ($22,700) each received infrastructure funding.
Three more kindergartens at St Albans – St Albans East, and West and North pre-schools – as well as Kings Park kindergarten each got $1500 for new laptops, tablets and other digital hardware.
Goodstart Deer Park and Copperfields at Delahey, Goodstart Kealba, Kealba kindergarten and Monmia kindergarten, Keilor Downs kindergarten, Goodstart Derrimut and Goodstart Braybrook also received grants for IT equipment.
St Albans MP Natalie Suleyman said the grants meant children at Brimbank kindergartens would have all the resources needed to be smart online.
“Our kinders need to be up to speed with the latest technology so our kids have opportunities to try different ways of learning,” she said.
