Glengala Road in Sunshine West will be a hive of colour and fun activities this Saturday for the ’Our GlenGALA’ day.
The event, which will be held at Glengala Village shops on Glengala Road, Sunshine West, will feature a range of fun activities, live music, and a magician.
Trader liaison Ailsa Page said it would be a big day for the street and encouraged locals to come down and experience their local area.
“There will be lots of entertainment and music,” she said.
“It will be a fun place to be and we want people to come down to the area and explore what is in the shopping strip.
“We also have the A to Z competition which people can enter. You can get anything starting from A to Z in the Glengala Shopping Village.”
Ms Page said a lot of local residents didn’t know the village was there and it was a good opportunity to support local businesses who did it tough during lockdown.
“We are hoping people come back to support the locals,” she said.
“There will be some really good specials on the day too.”
Ms Page said council representatives will be on site during the day and will reveal future plans for the area.
She said it was a good opportunity for people to find out what is going on in the local community.
Our GlenGALA Day runs from 10am to 2pm.
