Geelong And Melbourne Score Matildas Matches

Victoria will host two international friendly matches for the Matildas this December. The Matildas will play against Chinese Taipei at AAMI Park on December 4 and at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong on December 7. This will be the Matildas’ first visit to Geelong since the stadium’s redevelopment.

Victoria continues to support football at all levels, from grassroots programs to major events, and this series is expected to draw significant local interest and boost the state’s tourism and economy. For ticket information, visit matildas.com.au.

Premier Jacinta Allan said “We can’t wait to welcome the Matildas back to Victoria, giving fans a chance to see them locally.”

Tourism, Sport and Major Events Minister Steve Dimopoulos said “We’re investing in events that attract global visitors and support local businesses.”

Visit Victoria chief executive Brendan McClements said “The Matildas’ final match for 2024 is a highlight in our major events calendar.”
