Police arrested four males after a home invasion in Keilor Park last week.
Police have been told that six males allegedly attended a house on Quinella Close on Wednesday about 10.50pm.
The victim, a 33-year-old male, ran outside and allegedly observed the males running away before getting into a grey 2016 Mercedes B G63 wagon, which police are still searching for.
It is alleged the group then drove straight towards the victim before getting out of their vehicle armed with machetes.
It is believed the victim managed to escape the property with his partner, baby and dog.
The group then allegedly fled in a grey Mercedes and the victim’s white Volkswagen Golf.
The males were arrested by detectives on Thursday at a property in Yarraville.
Two of the men were remanded in custody, while a third was bailed to appear at the children’s court at a later date.
The fourth man was release pending further inquiries.
