A flood watch warning has been issued for the Werribee River and Kororoit Creek.
Vic Emergency issued the warning on, ahead of possible flooding occurring this evening in the catchment areas, with widespread rainfall expected.
A total of 15 to 30 millimetres is expected in the watch area for the remainder of today , with isolated heavier falls and thunderstorms also expected in some areas across the state.
Further rainfall totals of 10 to 15 millimetres are forecast for tomorrow.
