Five people from Braybrook, Sunshine and Altona North were arrested during a police operation targeting large-scale illicit drug trafficking.
Altona North divisional response unit detectives yesterday raided six addresses at:
- Ernest Street, Braybrook
- Lincoln Street, Sunshine
- Forrest Street, Albion
- Hayfield Road, Roxburgh Park
- Begonia Avenue, Altona North.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Amelia Penhall said police seized a large quantity of cash, heroin, methylamphetamine, cannabis, methadone and a pill press.
A 32-year-old Braybrook man was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of heroin, trafficking ice, possessing a pill press and possessing proceeds of crime.
A 26-year-old Braybrook man was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis.
A 31-year-old Braybrook woman was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of heroin and cannabis, trafficking methadone and other drug-related offences and possessing proceeds of crime.
All three have been remanded in custody and will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 26.
A 45-year-old Sunshine woman was charged with possessing cannabis and possessing proceeds of crime.
She was bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on June 20.
A 58-year-old Altona North man was charged with possessing a drug of dependence and was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on July 4
