An internationally acclaimed artist will perform an intimate show at St Albans’ Bowery Theatre this weekend.

Isaiah Firebrace, winner of the eighth season of The X Factor Australia will perform his Live and Beyond concert for 200 people on Sunday.

While well known in Australia, Firebrace became popular worldwide after he performed in the 2017 Eurovision song contest grand final with his single,

Don’t Come Easy.

Having just completed shows in Europe and the Sydney Opera House, Firebrace is embarking on a series of more intimate shows.

While in Brimbank, he visited Copperfield College, where he spoke of his journey and encouraged students to follow their dreams.

A few lucky people will have the chance to take the stage with the star on Sunday.

On the day of the performance, a limited number of people will have the opportunity to work with Firebrace and learn his new song,

Spirit. They’ll then be invited to perform it with him on stage during the concert.

Firebrace has a strong connection with his indigenous heritage and his concert marks the start of NAIDOC week in Brimbank.

Brimbank mayor Lucinda Congreve said it was exciting to welcome such a well-known and inspirational artist to Brimbank.

“Isaiah’s visit during NAIDOC Week helps shine a light on our indigenous communities’ strong spiritual and cultural connection to the land,” she said. “NAIDOC Week is a celebration for all Australians.”
