Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in St Albans this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Conrad Street home following reports of the fire just after 6am on March 22.
A person, who is yet to be formally identified, was removed from the property by fire crews and died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and it is expected detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad and an arson chemist will attend the property later today.
The investigation remains ongoing into the cause of the fire.
