Family flees Caroline Springs house fire

A family of five escaped a house fire in Caroline Springs on Sunday 7 December, with one man sustaining burns to his face and hands.

Thirty firefighters fought the blaze at The Grange at 5.40pm, arriving to find the two-storey brick home fully involved in fire with flames through the roof.

Firefighters provided first aid until paramedics arrived who then transported the man to the hospital.

The fire has caused extensive damage to the house and contents, and the roof of the property has also collapsed.

The fire took over 40 mins to bring under control.

Fire investigators will be attending the site to determine the cause of the fire.
